a string of haiku~journal entries in and out of order, while sailing in the british virgin isles~

breeze picks up at four
swimming in turquoise waters
buoyant and so free

goddess, i need nothing more
with eyes driven
to the furthest shore

no needs, just prayers
for all who spend time terracing
pink flowers spilling

over white cement
letting go-we are flying off
the seat of our pants

sweetest of soul beach
wraps around the veranda
flowers race to sun

pigeons in the pink
flowering tree sing of joys
unknown to me

learning to love me
unconditionally
clouds thicken above

saturday morning
wakens below my tan feet-
wear clouds as head dress

waters encircle hips
earth stabilizes my soul
as all elements

reveal themselves to me
blast through uncertainties
today is the day

to praise, give gratitude
for all which heals, brings harmony
from now throughout my days

green leaf falls
on corrugated tin roof
entire worlds open

hot sticky morning
swirls of wind pick up some speed
by 8 am

iguana came to my vision
on beach-below palm tree
as if to say:wake up!

absorb whatever
is gifted to vision within
ears eyes heart soul

huge eyes see both sides
yet do not rush to make decisions
nor luxuriate too long (under the palms)
