the moth will continue
to be curious, flutter up
to the nearest light bulb
seeking moth-er, bathing
in the warmth of the light
seeking what is outside
of her grey noisy wings
as we do our best
to communicate, with words
living thousands of miles
away from each other-
sometimes pausing
in between our words
to breathe, to sneeze
to hear, to realize
the spaces
in between our words
hold connection's power--
as silence always
houses the strength
of the soul
