how often

a string of four haiku and photo~by kate lamberg~May, '13(copyright)
how often we hear
the silence building hushes
among the night-thrushes

holding hands above
buddha's belly protrudes
laughter, effortless

single notes sweep keys
a sweeter sound could not be heard
except, the lone hawk circling

enveloping sound
wearing headdress and abolone
brothers and sisters circle around
