"There is beauty to be found in the changing of the earth's seasons,and an inner grace in honouring the cycles of life."
~Jack Kornfield
to allow the natural unfolding, is closely aligned
with our abilities to flow with the natural
course of rivers flowing, no stopping her
down to the welcoming sea
our sun pouring her tropical colors
in the moment we release the height of day;
sunset painting her masterpiece, as she
then blends her radiance with the incoming
force of blue black night, hosting bits of star colonies,
made visible by our escorting the light of day
as we breathe this new season upon us
let us hang up the dress of fear
who says, oh no, not now,
my favorite season is leaving
but instead, with an upright head
gaze at the stars, moon, sun
and realize....each season is perfect
and wonderfully balancing, as for every time
we go outside, there must be a going within;
when we gravitate to love's arena
we can be assured of this:
balance is what keeps connections
flowing, as rivers move slowly when cool,
then pick up momentum in spring's awakening
the plan is simple, like a patchwork quilt,
pieced together, as our lives harmonize &
loom with greater meaning--
by accepting what has brought the sea
to break on the sandy shore
and what has brought the sea to be
infinitely varied, and infinitely lovely
